Mumbai: After marriage reality show Rakhi Ka Syavamwar, entertainment channel Colors has announced that they have received a whopping 154,213 applications for their third season, called Atalji Ka Vivah. Comments on this from former Prime Minister and ailing BJP leader Atal Behari Vajpayee could not be recorded since our reporter was in a hurry and Mr Vajpayee had apparently dozed off after speaking the first few words of his reply. Our reporter, however tells us that Mr Vajpayee was visibly excited after hearing the news.
The shooting for season 3 starts sometime in February, just after the completion of the second season featuring Rahul Mahajan, the human who laughs like a pig. The second season, as already known to many, is called Rahul Dulhania Le Jaayenge, and will be broadcast soon.
Out of friendship, a Colors spokesperson leaked an application form of AKV to NTMN‘s Pyaare Laal “Batangad”. PLB visited the applicant, an 80-year old widow from Fursatganj, Uttar Pradesh. She says she was impressed with the first season and considered it a good timepass. She was all praise for Vajpayee and said Vajpayee’s Hindi poems were “killer material”, enough to make “a woman her age” go crazy.
Readers may remember that the first season was a farce since there was an instant break-up of the engagement between Rakhi Sawant and show winner Elesh Unpronouncable.
The spokesperson also revealed to PLB that the fourth season will feature Mayawati and the show would be called Haathi Waali Maya Ka Doolha Ghodi Pe.
