Shah Rukh Khan throws chappals at Team Anna for promotion of Ra.One

When it comes to marketing of his films, no one can match the potential of the newest superhero in the lot: Shah Rukh Khan. He has left no stone unturned in the marketing of his highly anticipated (?) film Ra.One. In his last-ditch effort to promote the movie a couple of days before its release, SRK did something unexpected—he threw chappals at Team Anna members Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan.

According to reports, Shah Rukh apparently organised a special screening of the film at Filmalaya Studio for Team Anna. “Both Team Anna and Ra.One are hungry to reach as many people as possible. We invited Anna Hazare and his team as this will make everyone want to see the movie. Team Anna came because they would get a lot of attention by sitting with SRK,” according to a mediaperson. But in an interesting turn of events, SRK eventually enacted in front of his guests, an action sequence of Ra.One, where he is seen throwing cars, courtesy his superpowers. But there was a twist this time around. SRK replaced cars with chappals and threw them at Team Anna members.

This event has generated a lot of buzz in the entire nation and has already gained enough publicity for SRK and his dream project. The superstar has already came up with an explanation claiming his action to be just and fair. “Being thrown chappals at has become a status symbol in the modern days. I just did what I thought was the best way to promote my film honour the Gandhis of today, and I’ve no regrets for it,” stated Shah Rukh in a statement.

Congress leader Digvijay Singh has also jumped into action, in defence of the movie star. “SRK is innocent and it was Team Anna’s fault that they didn’t see the chappals coming. Team Anna has been blinded by the hatred for Congress and they are incapable of seeing anything else… not even flying chappals on the set.”
