One of the genres most frequently used by this website in its pieces is news satire. This means the articles published in the format of news stories are works of fiction, and should not be treated as accounts of actual incidents.

Then why are we writing things that never happened? In this reference, the description of satire by Oxford Dictionary may be helpful: “The use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticise people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.“

4. The authors and editors involved with the publication of the stories were mostly in their late teens when they worked on this website. Therefore, the sentiments expressed in their work may not reflect their current value and belief system. All stories listed in the three Best of NTMN volumes were edited afresh in 2018 to reflect a more mature and sensitive form of humour and expression.
